Bathroom Interiors for Sasayaki Matsu House in Niseko, Japan

Sasayaki Matsu is a house located in a prime area of the ski town of Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. The house is designed with a focus on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This atmosphere is most intimate in the bathroom spaces. Below are new renders that have been released showcasing the three bathrooms in the house, each with its own unique design and materials. Careful attention to detail has been given to the material selection and design of each bathroom.

The first bathroom in Sasayaki Matsu features a beautiful combination of natural materials and earthy tones. Timber veneer cabinets and timber vertical slats are used as accents, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Sage green subway tiles are used for the walls, adding a pop of color and texture. The white terrazzo flooring and vanity countertop provide a clean and modern contrast to the natural materials used throughout the space.

The second bathroom in Sasayaki Matsu is a study in contrasts. Mint green mosaic tiles are used for the walls, creating a playful and whimsical atmosphere. An exposed concrete wall adds an industrial touch, while grey cement 3D relief tiles provide texture and depth. The white terrazzo vanity countertop and cement screed flooring provide a clean and modern contrast to the playful materials used throughout the space. Double sliding doors allow for privacy adjacent to the living room.

The third bathroom in Sasayaki Matsu is refined and simple. Timber veneer cabinets and timber vertical slats are used as accents, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Earth-toned Venetian plaster is used for the walls, adding a touch of texture and depth. The white terrazzo vanity countertop provides a clean and modern contrast to the natural materials used throughout the space. Hardwood flooring adds warmth and texture to the space.

All three bathrooms in Sasayaki Matsu feature radiant heated flooring and towel warming racks, making them the perfect place to come in from the cold winter days after skiing. The bathrooms are designed to be both functional and beautiful, with a focus on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
