Interiors of Yuki No Taki Houses in Niseko, Japan

luxury home design, home floor plans, modern interior design, modern home design, residential architect

The interiors of the Yuki No Taki Houses by STE-AD in Niseko, Japan are clean and simple in order to draw focus back to the surrounding nature. With the entertainment and living floors perched into the trees you truly feel as if you are in the middle of the woods. Three iterations of the Yuki No Taki houses have been built in the ski town of Niseko.

The open staircases are intended to allow light to pass through. They are positioned against the windows to the exterior to allow visibility of occupants passing from the ground floor up to the 2nd and 3rd floors.

As this is a holiday ski lodge, the open kitchen layout was chosen to allow guests to prepare meals in the kitchen and still feel a part of the discussion going on in the main living space. The placement of windows draws you toward the beautiful surroundings. Additionally, a small balcony off of the kitchen and living space allows you to step out among the canopy of the trees.
